Happy Sunday Everyone 😀
Can you tell the Sound of Music is one of my all time favourite movies. It kinda, sort of, well alright…DEFINITELY inspired the title of this blog 😉
How’s your weeks been? Busy, overwhelming? Or alternatively quite a blessed one? Whatever this week has thrown your way, we praise God for getting us through right? Yes & Amen.
So this week I’ve been working from home and yesterday I thoroughly seized the day ‘carpe diem’ as they say – and took some time to bake, chill, read & listen to some of my favourites tunes. In fact as I write this, I’m chilling listening to one of my most favs Sean. C Johnson Circa 1993 album! Some serious chillage tunes & just beautiful music to kick back too.
I’ve also been watching Food Network (as I always do lol) and enjoying looking at their recipes and techniques, one of which is featured later on this post.
Anyway, I thought I’d use this post to discuss some of my favourite things:
1. Pretty Flowers
I captured the photo above a few weeks ago; totally mesmerized by the beautiful colours that are budding out in the garden at the moment. (I also like to think of my self as the next David Bailey ‘or Sunday Mirror’ as my Grandad calls me every-time he sees me with my camera). I’m enjoying brushing up on my photography skills. I guess I really enjoy the detail you can capture, the stillness of a moment it captures and so much more.
2. Days out with friends
For the last 6months I’ve been on the leadership team of Chosen – a 20’s – 30 bible study in Croydon, Surrey. As much as I thought it would be a walk in the park since I thoroughly enjoyed attending the bible studies, it’s completely different when you’re a leader. It’s taught me SOOO much, such as when Jesus reminds us to be ‘…..faithful in the little things‘ – Luke 16:10
3. Baking / Cooking Days
Yesterday (as I mentioned earlier) I took the opportunity of a quiet house & decided to bake the long awaited Banana Bread Protein Muffins – they are totally yummy! There’s no flour, nor added sugars (just that of natural honey) and can be eaten for breakfast or snacks.

4. Good Music
Well that’s enough about me, what about you? Please feel free to share some of your favourite things by leaving comments below.
